Workshop "Towards satellite based solutions for the Black Sea algae problem"

We are happy to announce our workshop "Towards satellite based solutions for the Black Sea algae problem".

The focus of the workshop will be on the pressing algae bloom problem in the Black Sea region. What are the problems encountered and what are the possible solutions? During the BASISIMS project, an integrated water quality monitoring system was developed, which can be used for mitigating the algae problem in the Black Sea region.

Our workshop will be opened by Her Excellency Ms Lilianne Ploumen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

At this workshop we will also formally hand over the server with the Integrated water quality system, to be installed at National Institute for Marine Research and Development ‘Grigore Antipa’ but easily accessible online for the Danube Delta Institute.

Registration is free and open to everyone. You can find more information (and the registration form) at www.basisims.net
